Watermelon Daiquiri
Juicy and light: icy watermelon cubes, white rum and fresh lime, blended into a pink daiquiri.
- 10 min prep
- 2 drinks
- Coupe or rocks glass
Watermelon and rum belong together on a summer porch. This daiquiri is lighter than most because watermelon is so juicy; freeze the fruit and you barely need any ice.
It's a great way to use up the last of a big melon.

Tips for the best texture
- A pinch of salt sharpens the melon flavor.

Try a twist
Add a handful of strawberries for a deeper red color.
Blender, frozen drink maker or slush machine?
These amounts are written for a standard countertop blender. In an ice-shaving frozen drink maker, put the ice in the hopper and the liquids and any fruit in the jar, then run a full cycle. In a home slush machine, which freezes the drink itself, leave out the ice, replace it with about 1 cup of cold water or juice, and pour the mixed liquid into the bowl.
