Frozen Mango Daiquiri
Silky, golden frozen mango daiquiri with white rum, lime and frozen mango chunks.
- 5 min prep
- 2 drinks
- Hurricane or coupe
A mango daiquiri is what you make when you want something tropical that isn't as rich as a colada. The mango gives it a lush body, the lime keeps it lively, and white rum stays politely in the background.
Add a little coconut rum if you like it extra beachy.
Frozen Mango Daiquiri
Ingredients (2 drinks)
- 3 oz white rum
- 1½ oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 2 oz mango nectar or orange juice
- 1½ cups frozen mango chunks
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Combine rum, lime juice, syrup and mango nectar in the blender.
- Add the frozen mango and ice.
- Blend on high for 45–60 seconds, stirring once if the mango sticks.
- Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with lime.
Garnish: Lime wheel or a mango spear
Glass: Hurricane or coupe
Tips for the best texture
- Mango nectar adds flavor and helps the blades catch the frozen fruit.
- A tiny pinch of chili powder on top is a great contrast.
Try a twist
Use passion fruit juice instead of mango nectar for a mango-passion daiquiri.
Blender, frozen drink maker or slush machine?
These amounts are written for a standard countertop blender. In an ice-shaving frozen drink maker, put the ice in the hopper and the liquids and any fruit in the jar, then run a full cycle. In a home slush machine, which freezes the drink itself, leave out the ice, replace it with about 1 cup of cold water or juice, and pour the mixed liquid into the bowl.
