Frozen Limeade Margarita (Party Pitcher)
The easiest big-batch frozen margarita: a can of frozen limeade concentrate, tequila and ice, ready in two minutes.
- 3 min prep
- 4 drinks
- Margarita or plastic party cups
When you're feeding a crowd, frozen limeade concentrate is the cheat code. It's already sweet, tart and ice-cold, which means it chills the blender down and needs less ice to get a thick slush.
This recipe makes about four drinks per blender load. Measure once with the empty limeade can and you won't need a jigger at all.
Frozen Limeade Margarita (Party Pitcher)
Ingredients (4 drinks)
- 6 oz frozen limeade concentrate (one half of a 12-ounce can)
- 4½ oz blanco tequila
- 1½ oz triple sec
- 2 oz water
- 4 cups ice cubes
Instructions
- Spoon the frozen limeade concentrate into the blender.
- Add tequila, triple sec and water.
- Fill with ice and blend on high for 45 seconds.
- Pour into salt-rimmed glasses; this batch makes about 4 drinks.
- Repeat with the other half of the can for round two.
Garnish: Lime wedge and salt
Glass: Margarita or plastic party cups
Tips for the best texture
- Keep the concentrate in the freezer until the moment you blend.
- For slush machines, mix the whole can with 3 cans of water, 1 can of tequila and ½ can triple sec, then pour into the bowl.
Try a twist
Use frozen pink lemonade concentrate instead of limeade for a pink-lemonade margarita.
Blender, frozen drink maker or slush machine?
These amounts are written for a standard countertop blender. In an ice-shaving frozen drink maker, put the ice in the hopper and the liquids and any fruit in the jar, then run a full cycle. In a home slush machine, which freezes the drink itself, leave out the ice, replace it with about 2 cups of cold water or juice, and pour the mixed liquid into the bowl.
