Frozen Peach Margarita
Juicy frozen peaches, tequila and lime blended into a soft, sunset-orange frozen margarita.
- 5 min prep
- 2 drinks
- Margarita glass
Peaches give a frozen margarita a mellow, honeyed sweetness that pairs especially well with reposado tequila. It's the margarita to make for people who say they don't like tequila.
Frozen sliced peaches are available year-round and are picked ripe, so they often taste better than out-of-season fresh fruit.
Frozen Peach Margarita
Ingredients (2 drinks)
- 3 oz reposado or blanco tequila
- 1 oz orange liqueur
- 1½ oz fresh lime juice
- ¾ oz honey syrup or agave
- 2 cups frozen peach slices
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Pour the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and sweetener into the blender.
- Add the frozen peaches and ice.
- Blend on high for 45 seconds, stopping once to push the fruit down if needed.
- Taste and add a squeeze more lime if it's too sweet.
- Pour and garnish with a peach slice.
Garnish: Peach slice and a sugar rim
Glass: Margarita glass
Tips for the best texture
- Honey syrup is equal parts honey and warm water stirred together; it blends better than straight honey.
- A pinch of ground ginger or a few basil leaves adds a nice twist.
Try a twist
Add 2 oz ginger beer to the glass after pouring for a peach-ginger margarita float.
Blender, frozen drink maker or slush machine?
These amounts are written for a standard countertop blender. In an ice-shaving frozen drink maker, put the ice in the hopper and the liquids and any fruit in the jar, then run a full cycle. In a home slush machine, which freezes the drink itself, leave out the ice, replace it with about 1 cup of cold water or juice, and pour the mixed liquid into the bowl.
